  • Accepted Abstracts
    Will be published in Medical Journal of Malaysia (MJM) as a supplement.
  • The Organising Committee encourages all participants to submit the
    abstract of interesting cases to be displayed during the conference.
  • All delegates who registered for The National MMA Convention and
    Scientific Congress 2026 are eligible to submit abstracts.
  • Participants are invited to submit an abstract(s) for consideration by the National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress 2026
    Committee on or before 15.06.2026.
  • Papers must not have been presented/published elsewhere.
  • The Committee decision on abstract selection is final.

Guidelines

GENERAL ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

  1. Abstracts must be submitted in English and in word format.
  2. Text must be typewritten in Times New Roman, font size min 12.
  3. There are 2 categories of abstract submission:
    • Original Article
    • Case Report / Case Series
  4. Abstract shall be submitted under either of these themes:
    • Internal Medicine
    • Surgical speciality
    • Obstetrics & Gynaecology
    • Paediatric
    • Primary Care / Family Medicine
    • Health Management / Digital Health
  5. At least ONE author (the principal one) must be a MMA member and register to the main Convention in order to be eligible to submit the abstract.
  6. Maximum of 2 abstracts is allowed to be submitted by the participant (same category or combination).
  7. Deadline for abstract submission: 15th June 2026
  8. Decision on abstract acceptance will be notified to the main author via email: 1st July 2026.
  9. Selected abstract shall be presented as e-poster during the conference.
  10. Deadline submission of e-poster: 1st September 2026.
  11. Accepted abstracts will be published in Medical Journal of Malaysia (MJM)  as a supplement.

Guidelines

ORIGINAL ARTICLE

  1. The abstract of this category should be based on a study or research conducted.
  2. The abstract should be written in standard format:
    • Title
    • Authors & Affiliation
    • Introduction
    • Methodology
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • References: max 5 references (Reference style: modified Vancouver)
  3. Number of words should not exceed 500 words.

Guidelines

CASE REPORT

  1. The abstract of this category should be based on interesting cases or disease.
  2. The abstract should be written in standard format:
    • Title
    • Authors & Affiliation
    • Introduction
    • Case Presentation
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
  3. Number of words should not exceed 250 words.

PRIZES

  1. The Top 3 best submission for each category will be announced on 11th September 2026.
  2. The prizes for each category are as below:
  • ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
    • 1st Place : RM 500
    • 2nd Place : RM 300
    • 3rd Place : RM 200
  • CASE REPORT:
    • 1st Place : RM 300
    • 2nd Place : RM 200
    • 3rd Place : RM 100
